Mzingisi Brian Jokozela started his acting career at the old Africa Cultural Centre in Newtown, Johannesburg under the mentorship of veteran Director Mr Benjy Frances. After matric he went on to study performing arts at the Paul Rapetsoa Institute for the Dramatic Arts. In 2008 he wrote and directed his first play “Just Like that” with the learners from Eqinisweni Secondary School in Ivory Park. The play was the first from Ivory Park to be selected for the Market Theatre legendary “Zwakala Festival”

Brian went on to study Speech and Drama through the Trinity College London. He also holds a certificate of Competency in Applied Drama from Wits Drama for Life.

As an Actor Jokozela has been featured in South African soapies such as Scandals, played the role of a Doctor on Isithembiso, he was Samson’s Father on Isibaya and played the role Sugar daddy on Isono.
